Marguerite’s study at Witwatersrand University in South Africa culminated with the award of her Master of Science degree in Atmospheric Science with Distinction in 2002.  She started presenting the weather on South Africa’s national breakfast show, Morning Live, towards the end of her studies, and stayed with the show for 7 years.  Her post-graduate experience also included a brief period with an environmental consulting firm before joining the City of Johannesburg and then the National Department of Environment, working in the areas of air quality management and climate change.  Marguerite moved to New Zealand in 2016.  She is currently seconded to the New Zealand Transport Agency’s Regional Office in Hamilton, where she manages the customer interaction system, and is also involved with the assessment of land use development (LUD) applications.
