BBO is proud to be affiliated with the key organisations related to our services. These include:


'The Association of Consulting Engineers New Zealand' - providing a generic code of ethics for consulting engineers, to be responsible professionals, considering the effect of their work on society and ensuring their advice is technically competent to ensure safe and sustainable outcomes.


'The Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand' - the professional body representing engineers in New Zealand. The institution operates a wide range of activities and services aimed at engineers and the general public.

BBO's Engineers hold MIPENZ memberships (Professional Membership of IPENZ) which recognises the competence for independent practice against the competence standard for professional engineers.


'The New Zealand Planning Institute' - the professional organisation representing planners, resource managers, urban designers, and environmental practitioners in New Zealand. It promotes professional excellence and works in partnership with planners throughout the country to assist them to shape the future according to the changing and diverse needs of all New Zealanders'.

All of BBO's planners have obtained the MNZPI membership, which recognises those with a planning degree and a minimum of 3 years work experience within the planning sector.


'The New Zealand Institute of Surveyors' - representing the professional body of surveyors throughout New Zealand, providing continual support, training and development opportunities.

BBO's surveyor Bernie Milne is a member of NZIS, and shares all acquired knowledge with other members of the surveying team.
