Lauriston Park Retirement Village is located in an established residential area of Cambridge and less than 1.5km from the town centre. Development at Lauriston Park is ongoing and when complete the retirement village will include 149 villas, as well as extensive landscaped gardens and a range of facilities for residents and their guests. Resident facilities include a multi-award winning village centre building as well as a restored heritage protected Victorian villa which has been adapted for use as a community building for social gatherings and activities. The villa was the original homestead on the site.
BBO’s planning inputs included pre-purchase advice to Neil Properties, coordinating with the architect and other consultants during the design stage and preparation of resource consent applications to Waipa District Council and Waikato Regional Council for the retirement village development. All resource consent applications have been processed without notification which has allowed Neil Properties to meet their project deadlines. BBO has also provided traffic engineering assessments as inputs into the resource consent applications as well as surveying work for changes to the boundaries of the retirement village site.
“We engaged BBO from 2007 to assist us with consents for Lauriston Park Retirement Village in Cambridge. This consent was achieved quickly and efficiently.
BBO has gone on to carry out resource consent, survey, advisory and traffic design work for us over several further stages of the project including an extension to the village in 2013.
BBO’s extensive network of contacts in the Waikato has enabled us as non-local developers to work confidently in an otherwise unfamiliar location. We have found BBO refreshingly consistent in their timely and professional approach to their work.”
