Andy Ngiew

Andy joined BBO as Structural Engineer in October 2018. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) from Malaysia and worked in the construction industry in Singapore before moving to New Zealand.

His role at BBO centres on the analysis and design of bridges and other civil engineering structures; liaison with parallel disciplines within and beyond BBO; and the development of the technical content of project documentation, including associated reporting, specification and technical justification. Andy also assists in site monitoring to ensure construction work complies with design and project requirements.

Peacockes Te Ara Pekapeka Bridge, Peacocke Whatukooruru Drive Gully Bridges, and the Tiniroto Road - Hangaroa Bluffs Bypass Bridge are some of the major structures Andy has contributed to in his design role.
