Caleb McCarthy

Caleb joined BBO in April 2014 while studying for his NZDE (Civil) which he completed in 2015. His exceptional conceptual abilities, combined with comprehensive knowledge of technical standards and design conventions, enable him to effectively lead and manage design projects.

Caleb possesses extensive experience across large, multi-disciplinary projects, stemming from his background in geometric and services design, as well as hydraulic and hydrological modelling. Caleb has managed the design of several significant BBO projects including: Takitimu North Link Stages 1 and 2 Specimen Designs; Takitimu North Link Stage 2A Detailed Design; and Peacocke Development Strategic Services (and Peacocke Waikato River Bridge (Te Ara Pekapeka)) through various phases from concept through to construction.

With strong technical expertise and proven leadership, Caleb transitioned into the role of Infrastructure Engineering Manager in 2026 after serving as Senior Civil Engineer and leader within the Infrastructure team for several years.
