Ray Gao

Ray completed a 4-year degree in landscape architecture in 2012, and a New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (NZDE) in civil engineering in 2016.

Since joining BBO in February 2017, Ray has developed a strong ability with 3-dimensional drafting and presentation, and demonstrates a unique aptitude to accurately define and present the interface between the existing ground profile and bridge abutments, complete with approach earthworks and associated cut or fill soil slopes.  Ray is also responsible for quantities and cost estimates of the structural components of projects. 

Major projects that Ray has worked on during his time at BBO include: Peacocke Waikato River Bridge - Senior Structural Designer responsible for construction drawings, 3-dimensional drafting and presentation, schedule of prices; and Peacocke Whatukooruru Drive Stage 1 (Bridges) - Senior Structural Designer responsible for construction drawings, schedule of prices, shop drawing review.
